WEEK 5&6
The past two weeks of my teaching practice have been both enriching and enjoyable, marked by academic progress and the vibrant Onam celebrations at school. By this stage, I had gained more confidence in handling the classroom, implementing effective teaching strategies, and engaging students in meaningful learning activities. I incorporated interactive teaching methods such as group discussions, real-life applications, and technology-assisted learning, which enhanced student participation and understanding.
A highlight of this period was the Onam celebration, which brought joy and cultural vibrancy to the school. Students and teachers actively participated in traditional events, including Pookalam (flower rangoli), Onam songs, cultural performances, and games like tug-of-war. The festive atmosphere created a sense of unity and excitement among students, making it a memorable experience for everyone.
Despite the festive distractions, classroom learning remained productive, with students maintaining their enthusiasm for lessons. Regular assessments, quizzes, and assignments helped track their progress, and feedback from my mentor teacher allowed me to improve my teaching methods further.
Overall, the fifth and sixth weeks of teaching practice provided a perfect balance of learning and celebration. This experience not only strengthened my teaching skills but also deepened my appreciation for cultural events in an educational setting.
I'm still continuing and completed the story - A Shipwrecked Sailor. on 5 week and start new story - The Little Round Red House, taught personal pronoun and on 27/09/2024 our school conduct sports day which celebrated the joy of sportsmanship and healthy competition
